Re: Big Event 15 - 11/10/18 - Queens, NY

This is an excellent point. There's hardly any difference in us wanting to meet "obscure" wrestling names and other people on this board paying good money to meet Boy #4 from some horror flick.

Re: Can the hobby go too far?

And the guy from That Thing You Do That movie is HUGE for me...Almost Famous is my favorite movie all-time but "That Thing You Do" Is in the top 15 for me and his role in that movie was fantastic, he made that movie for me. He becomes the asshole and I love every minute of it...screw the rest of th...

Re: Can the hobby go too far?

I too find this interesting of course...I find it interesting on one end you have the people who have a wife, gf, or kids and enjoy the hobby and go to conventions and maybe do an occasional street meet once in awhile. Than you have others who have no kids, no wife, no gf and dedicate many many hour...

Re: The "I Can't Believe They Aren't Doing Cons" Thread

Moranis, Gellar, Calista don't need the money.
God I hate when you say that lol....Stallone, Affleck, and others didn't need money either and they did it. If someone wants to do it they will....it's that simple.

Re: A slow PACE but I got to meet ACE

In regards to my post above, that is not meant for the people who are genuinely fans of sesame street and all. That is meant for the people who get those type names simply because they feel the need and are not actual "fans" so if I offended any of the true fans it was not meant for you, that i tota...

Re: Monster Mania 39 Mess: "The Altamont of Horror Conventions"

"the fact that Robert Englund, who gets one of the biggest turnouts of any regular guest on the con circuit, will be there next show, will be a test of what lessons Dave has learned from this." Englund will draw huge, but his line is always very controlled. They put him upstairs as most of you know...

Re: Monster Mania 39 Mess: "The Altamont of Horror Conventions"

Yes Robert Englund is considered a big name, but it's not something we have not seen before from him. I think the days of Dave suprising us with good guest lists in the eyes of casual horror fans is over. You will get your Tobin Bell, Robert Englund, Halloween Reunions, and stuff like that. I was re...

Re: Monster Mania 39 Mess: "The Altamont of Horror Conventions"

If he did this, I'd be freaking ecstatic! There ya have it...the horror people want horror names and they are happy with it being an all horror show even if no "Big" names are booked. I am not about trying to fill up cast posters with minor characters and all, but this seems very big in the horror ...
