Re: Question on WWE axxess

Last time they were in NJ I just went to WrestleCon where I could pay for and meet exactly who I wanted to meet. In the NY/NJ area Axxess is going to be a madhouse. For top names you're paying around $150, which will get you a guaranteed autograph (1) and an over-the-table photo op (1) with the spec...

Re: Icons of Wrestling 1/27/17

Glad you got to meet the Horsemen. Sounds like it went well. I paid less for some of the ones you listed, but Sting's price today was actually lower than it was in recent appearances. They had a strong lineup this time -- just no one I still needed. The only Horsemen I can still use are valets (Baby...

Nice stuff and a good number of them who I'd like to meet -- Johnny Ace, Riott Squad group and Nakamura, and to a lesser extent Downtown Bruno and Dasha.

Thanks for sharing this awesome report as well as the photo ops and autograph images. Very cool stuff -- especially Kabuki and Killer Khan!

Re: ICW's Blood Runs Cold

Very cool. I met Glacier at one of the NWA Legends events. Really nice guy. I've been to that flea market venue a couple of times. Once was to meet Shawn Michaels and Kelly Kelly. The other time I met Bill Goldberg and some others at a convention there.

old school wrestlers like Mr wrestling 2 ( yes I know he is dead) As far as I can tell, Mr. Wrestling 2 is still alive, but lives in Hawaii so doesn't do conventions. It may be Mr wrestling Tim Woods I am thinking is dead. But II was the example Tim Woods is deceased. Johnny Walker (Mr. Wrestling 2...

Re: Gary Numan M&G in DC

I remember him from the early days of MTV. Very cool experience. The paid concert m&g's I've gone to often allow for one autograph or none. So it's really cool that he signed a few items for you, took a great photo and it was a good experience. I enjoy your reports. I can tell you have a lot of fun ...

Re: Demi Lovato autopens touted as real

Something similar has been going on with Lana Del Rey, who sold apparently thousands of preorder lithographs, CDs and vinyl that was supposed to ship 9/1 and in some cases still hasn't shipped. Hers are hand signed, but not by her. From the looks of them, someone from management or her staff is sign...

AJ, will you be seeing Tiger Mask (Sayama), Kensuke Sasaki, Tiger Chung Lee or any of the '70s / '80s / '90s wrestlers who worked the territories or WCW?

Re: This LOTR is the perfect example why vendors don't book rare guests...

Sunny was there..... There just weren't a lot of names that cater to the casual fan or the younger fans who have never seen wrestling when it wasn't a cartoon (WWF/WWE). As a result, LOTR drew well still because it's an established convention with a loyal clientele. But it didn't draw the beyond cap...

Re: Big Event XIII & PlayFair NY Report - Nov 2017

Great stuff Greg!! Hack, are you saying you'd have gotten Big Show again if he was wearing shades? These shades haters are growing lol Not sure if I would have paid for him again -- definitely not until his photo op price at conventions dropped to $25 or less. But since I was there I wanted to make...

Re: Big Event XIII & PlayFair NY Report - Nov 2017

Great stuff. The Money Inc and New Age Outlaws photos came out especially well. I went to the morning session for Playfair (wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for your post, so thanks again!). Even with the guaranteed prices it was a great deal. And I didn't want to go to NYC and take a chan...

Re: This LOTR is the perfect example why vendors don't book rare guests...

If LOTR had brought in a platinum guest and had some bigger names on the superticket, attendance would have been huge like it usually is. Honestly there were still a lot of people there. It wasn't like the August Icons show in Philly where it was dead -- or worse yet any show promoted by Blaustein. ...
