How did you hear about the site?

Post by lanza218 »

With so many new members, wed like to hear about how you found us. Quick history listen. This board was created bc the Turnbuckle board was being censored by Jason.

It was mostly Turnbuckle. Though I'm not sure he was censoring. He vanished for a while and we just took it over. Then we realized it could be deleted any time and I made the old pro boards site.

Yea I don't remember :blaustein: ever censoring or even caring to. The Turnbuckle board did eventually dissappear.

I found it in 2012 while researching Chiller. I'd been given conflicting first hand accounts of the convention from a few people. I read the reports here, and saw what it was all about, and decided to go.

As one of the newest members here I was simply looking around on Google for an autograph community. Most sites were either all about through the mail or were dead.

Came across this one and I knew the term "Marked Out" from being a wrestling fan about 10 years ago (I no longer watch). I lurked for a little while (Few months) and eventually decided to sign up because it's a nice little community.

I found this site because I was researching reviews for Wizard World conventions. Once I found a review, I recognized the poster as someone who I chatted with while waiting in a photo ops line the previous year and I found it cool to see their take on the events of that year.

Back in January 2013, Ticketmaster was being obnoxious while I was trying to buy WWE Axxess tickets (trying to get CM Punk). When it kept giving me errors, I started doing searches on tickets, autographs, etc...and lucky for me, this board popped up.

Thanks to Woodmo and everyone, it's gotten me back into going to conventions and signings. Thanks to all!

How did you find this forum?

For those that don't know, this board originated from the forum that was dedicated to Blaustein's Turnbuckle Promotions show back in 2007. Hard to believe it's been 10 years. Thus, most original members that survive today have come from that board. These include

:pauuuse: :grumpyflair: :hcit: :lanza: :crayira: , Oldschool Mike, Rich (slayknot/doctorsatan), and the returning Carlucci (joeystylesfan).

Beyond that I don't believe any other original members remain.

But I'm curious, for everyone else, how did you come across this forum?

Carlucci is back?

I think I was also Googling Chiller like 5 years ago and found it. Then lurked for a long time. Posted a few times, then kind of kept quiet again. Eventually I got more involved full steam after meeting the brain trust.
