But we do, cm/class took over the entire board, as did blue. Every thread, every minute. That was the whole point of the arena/colliseum/etc. The colliseum can be fun, and is supposed to keep the board from trolling, but it doesnt all the time.

Yeah, the good news is the majority of the users are like you Carlucci and don't need rules, so these don't apply to you. This is about keeping the problem posters in line.

Also, juvenile comments regarding females isn't the way to reach their crowd. And women collect autographs, too. Being slapstick goofy is one thing, but offensive is another.

I think the PG or at worst PG-13 (not J.C. Ice and Wolfie D., though) is the best route to take to grow this site into a success that appeals to all in-person autograph collectors.

When you have phrases like KKKClass being thrown around like a dart in The Coliseum, it could potentially turn off a collector of African-American descent or any other minorities.
If someone doesn't like the coliseum why ruin it for those that do enjoy it? Is it that tough for people to see it once, decide it's not for them, then never visit it again?

Personally I don't like sports I simply do not visit that section. Do I have a super human capability there? :haeh:

Why should the MODS be held responsible for other people's inability to control their own actions? Or better yet why should other people pay the price for other people's inability to control their own actions?

So what are you saying Sig? Should someone who likes getting combos not be allowed in a hobby board simply because you don't like their view points that are legally protected under the US constitution? Does that mean a communist party member should also be banned? What about a Nation of Islam member? Where does it stop?

As for me, this is my opinion on how it should be. The Coliseum should allow anything as long as it's legal under US law, no matter what. One would argue "p*rn is legal" but in actuality p*rn would be covered because this is an all ages board and it is illegal for an all ages venue to showcase pornography.

I also believe me Vs CM worked well when it was contained in one thread. But Lanza decided to send that to the graveyard.

Hmm let me give some mainly positive opinions because i got my only negatives out of my system yesterday.

I like The Coliseum i do feel it should have more leeway though, Class and CM should be able to fight in their designated thread, I know when they had their old one i simply did not visit that topic if i didnt want to read their arguing. If i did i'd go on there. I think thats the way to go rather then ban an entire dispute.

I do agree that we're all grown ups here and don't really need so many rules but do see it from the Mods perspective where they do have a number of problem posters who do fight outside The Coliseum. I think some of the tougher rules should be relaxed though.

Other then that my only real suggestion is when a major rule change happens that can lead to a strike please put a big announcement on the board for a few days-week. If y ou do this more people will be likely to read it. It can even just be a short message like "We have added a new strikeable offence" and then a URL to where the rule is. That's alot better and NOBODY could overlook rule changes unless they simply wanted too overlook them.

Other then those minor gripes you guys do a good job with this site.

Don't worry CM, the fight thread or fight in general will never return.

As for the rules being lessened, I too would love to do that. We are just searching a common ground, a happy medium if you will. I hope we can loosen some rules and get this place going in a more efficient way. As of now, we just have to get stuff in order before we start loosening the reins.

I dont see there being a way to do it as "certain" members deliberately try and start problems.

I would love to be able to at least have a cross off feature ( unless I don't see it ) so that if we list items in the market place we don't have to keep writing a post about what was taken off which would be at the bottom vs the top

The photo resizer is giving me issues again. Please see this thread http://forum.markedout.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&p=180790, it is making some of the photos way bigger than they should be..not sure whats going on there.
