How do you display your collection?

Post by WOODMO »

We all see the items we get signed, but which ones do you display and how do you have your stuff set up? We haven't done a thread like this in many years, so I decided to photograph my apartment and the items I have on display.

This shows the living room and dining room from afar. I tried to keep it pretty selective in terms of what I displayed. All of my guy friends think the autographs and photos are awesome. Most women who come to my place start looking at the stuff to see what the hell it all is. Some, my most recent ex, didn't give a crap about any of it. Nobody seems to think anything negative about the stuff though, not that I would care if they did.

The below is a Supernatural unsigned posted with my photo op underneath it right by my bedroom door. It's one of my favorite shows and I love that poster design.

Next this is what I have on the living room wall to the other side of the bedroom. My Larry David photo op with a playbill, one of the few photos I hung, but LD is one of my all time favorites so I had to do it. Next to it is my The Following cast signed poster.

Below the clock is my cast signed Person of Interest poster.

Next to that I have my Robin Williams signed laser discs hanging, which were on the wall BEFORE he died.

To either side of the fireplace I put some of my favorite landscape 8x10s. Here I have an SVU cast piece and my Robin Williams/Cheryl Hines signed RV photo.

On the mantel, I have bobbleheads of Walter White and Dexter Morgan, two of my all time favorite characters, with the photo ops next to them. Then I have my Walking Dead poster in the middle.

Then on the other side of the fireplace I have my Entourage and Charmed cast pieces.

On the other wall, I just hung a few more 8x10s I really liked.

Then I have my sports corner off in the dining room. I displayed some of my favorite sports and wrestling pieces here.

Lastly, I have one piece in my bedroom. My signed Hung Poster with my airsoft rifle underneath it. I always expect a woman to react in a funny way about the sexual poster in my room, but only the gun gets responses, so far not a single comment about the poster. :depressed:

I don't really display any of my stuff yet. Going to wait until I buy my first home to get it all done.

The idea I have for when I buy a home is to have a theatre room (Don't know if they're common in the States but incredibly common in Australia) and put all my autographed movie posters on the walls. I think that's a cool idea because when you have friends over to watch a film or something you have cool autographed posters on the wall AND the stories behind them. Also, movie posters in a movie room obviously make sense.

The other stuff I think will be put in a home office or something. I have signed magazines that would look cool on an office wall and the Pop! figures I have signed would probably look sweet on a book shelf or a desk. Sports Memorabilia likely to go here as well,

So yeah, I have ideas on how to display but need more space.

Store bought. Target had it last year, it's the only unsigned item I have hanging. I liked the design that much.

Thanks dude. This is all in my place. It's connected to the family house though, the interior door goes into my mom's laundry room. But it has a front and backdoor so women and friends don't have to walk past my mom on the couch
