How much of your collection is on display?
How much of your collection is on display?
How much of your collection is on display?
I have wayyyy to many items in poster tubes, in boxes, in top loaders, etc...
I always assume oneday I will put them on display, but the truth is, there is too much, and lots of it will probably never come out.
I have some favorite items, but even those are kind of tucked away and I tell myself I will get them framed nicely some day, or they need another person on them before I feel like they are complete.
One of the main things I collect are 8x10 b&w publicity photos....
I always thought seeing restaurants that had their walls covered, like every inch, with the signed black and whites looked really cool.
But. I dont really want my walls to be THAT cluttered.
I just moved to a smaller place so I'm trying to figure out how to decorate and what should be put up and what shouldnt. Ugh.
I'm sure this is a struggle we all know.
I think lots of items will rotate for me, having some time on the walls. Then go back.

Almost all of my movie posters (20+) are hung somewhere throughout my house. Smaller than that, it usually only goes on display if it's a completed project. Non-posters I have up on display include a Dave Prowse/James Earl Jones signed Darth Vader pic, a Married With Children signed cast piece, Dukes of Hazzard cast piece (Bo, Luke, Daisy, Rosco), and a few more.

Great question. I used to have a lot of stuff on display, but I've now taken a different view. The only piece I have displayed is a piece I've never posted here before. Everything else is in storage. One day if I get a much bigger place with a basement, I'll make myself a man cave with some of my favorite pieces.

None. All of my signatures are mostly in books, DVDs, and 8x10s

I have a handful of pieces on display, but about 90% is stored. I have begun considering unloading some of the pieces I know I will never display, because why not? I really only value certain autograph pieces and my photos, a lot of the autos are clutter.

You wouldn't be that from me
Back to the subject on hand I'd say 85%Ish of my stuff is on display. I sold some stuff last year (well 2014) and I'm going to get rid of some more shit that's boxed up in my closet

I sold it to a local comic shop and they gave me top dollar for everything. I didn't wanna be bothered with ebay and paypal fees, shipping and other nonsence

Blah, you'd be like an hour from NYC. No fun in that.

Living an hour away from NYC is a beautiful thing. Love being there but love the quiet time away even more. Close enough to go whenever you want, far enough to know the difference.
