Who's Got Moviepass?

Post by Joresky » October 17th, 2017, 11:30 am

I've been using Moviepass for about a month.. its only $9.95 per month for unlimited movies (one per day.. no IMAX or 3D). I was wondering who else is using it? Just need download a free app to check into the movie you are seeing and use this special debit card they send you in the mail to "pay" for the ticket at the box office. I think its great.. works at any theatre that accepts debit cards. I highly recommend it.. www.moviepass.com

I'd never use it once a month even.

I got it about a week and a half ago and its changed my life. Awesome. Plus there are several hacks that you can do to get the most out of the card...

It doesn't work on the film festivals like Tribeca though.

I use it. So far I’ve seen like 6 movies with it. It’s excellent

I've used mine about 4 times so far.. seems too good to be true.. i'm thinking theres no way this price is sustainable but i'll enjoy it while it lasts.. what makes this even better for me is the really nice Cinemark theatre that is a ten minute walk from my house takes it so I'll see a movie any chance I can get now (which isn't as often as i'd like because of my hectic work and combo schedule) but even if I use it three or four times a month its still definitely worth it

Ok, so i got this moviepass and tried it tonight with my son ( AMC STUBS has $5 Tuesdays til Dec 19th as well). For those who have it, explain this to me: Do i LITERALLY have to be 100 yards from the theater EVERY time I go? Because that is such a crazy risk if i ever decide to go on a Sat or so with the hopes it is not sold out? If I have to play a guessing game or have to use fandango to check if seas are available every time , I don't think I will enjoy it.

I am hoping it was just to activate my card for the first time because If I cannot pre-order the movie at home before I go, it is useless especially if I go with my family. I guess i can also forget about getting reserved seats for those AMC dinner theaters with this thing.

Help you, help you?

Yes you need to be 100 yards away to activate the card and make the purchase unless your theater offers e-ticket in the app (most do not)

I think I might bite for the 695.. my main concern was that they would stop offering the 10 mths but if you pay for the year up front.. You're good

Same. No brainer and I really don't see this going out of business before the year is up.
