ESPN: 30 for 30 movies

Post by Nicksfan23 » November 14th, 2015, 9:11 pm

I do not know how many you guys have seen. But what are some of your favorite 30 for 30 short films from ESPN? I am putting it here because they do call them movies on the channel.

I think my favorites have to be the
U: University of Miami
Winning Time about Reggie Miller
The House of Steinbrenner
Big Shot about the Islanders
Bad Boys

The Brian Bosworth one was phenomenal as well. Lanza have you seen the short versions on Youtube that are about 10 minutes long. There are some good ones. Also, I think the one about the guy scamming the NHL was the best. It is just amazing how easily the NHL was fooled.

There are several of these films that I enjoy even though I don't like sports at all. I enjoy it when they wander in the world of pop culture... like the Harding/Kerrigan deal, as well as the OJ Simpson trial. Also, 'Broke' was a great one, about how these multi-millionaire athletes end up spending all the money they earn. I missed Prince of Pennsylvania that aired recently, about the events of Foxcatcher, I'm looking to DVR that one.

I was watching the Foxcather one in and out since it was on the same time as Scream Queens. But, it is definitely worth checking out and learning about the true story. Also, check out the one Big Shot Crowbar.
