That's just it CM, you don't understand. The size of the TV is irrelevant when it comes to stretching. What is relevant is the aspect ratio of the TV. Big ass projection TVs, like all TVs at the time the SNES was new, were 4:3. Whether a 15 inch CRT or a 50 inch projection is irrelevant. This is why when playing movies like Star Wars on such TVs you would always see black bars at the top and bottom. This means you are seeing the full intended image of Star Wars.

After many decades TV finally adapted to widescreen. So old TV shows (for example attitude era WWF) and even old movies (for example Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) would have black bars on the sides. THIS is how Mario World should be showing on your widescreen TV in order for the image to be correct (again, regardless of it's size).

Here's a suggestion. On your TV remote look for a way to set the aspect ratio of the picture. There should be a way to select 4:3. Select that and see what happens. If you can't find it consult the manual.
Ah. Got it now. But I can adjust my aspect ratio on my tv now. I have it set to widescreen....but I can change it to 4:3
correct CM. you can switch it

No issues. Looks like the days I had my SNES. Everything plays the same. I love it!

Just ordered mine. My old Sega system just stopped working. I do have my original NES system, but the fact that I can have both plus SNES, this was definitely worth it. Gonna keep my NES as a backup.

I wonder why Retron never added Sega Master System for Game Gear support.
