Top albums of 2014

Post by Nightshift » December 14th, 2014, 1:24 pm

2014 was another great year for music and I expect 2015 to be another banner year. I don't intend for many of you to know/hear of any of these bands, but here's my top albums of 2014 in no particular order:

Machine Head- Bloodstones and Diamonds
Bloodbath- Grand Morbid Funeral
At the Gates -At War with Reality
Foo Fighters- Sonic Highways
Crowbar- Symmetry in Black
Corrections House- Last City Zero
New Found Glory- Resurrection
Mastodon- Once More Round The Sun
Behemoth- The Satanist
Against Me!- Transgender Dysphoria Blues

Past few years (more so 2014) has been a sucky year for music.

Hell, even the new Weird Al album sucked bad because the songs he's parodying suck! If songs suck so bad Weird Al can't even make them good, that's saying something :killme:

And I don't even think it's the "grandfather effect" in place because I've even had people in their early 20s tell me the older songs sound better than the current ones.

Random comments I found on youtube (I wasn't looking for such comments).

And I quote
i love this song. im 14 and i love 80s and 90s music its good music todays songs are shit it like a 5 year old wrote the song i wish 80 and 90 would be todays music
As a teenager born in 1998, I would have loved to have been born in the 80's, the music era back then was second to none.
