To my knowledge of Savage he was a recluse who had a very private home with a big fence so clearly he was not a people person. He also did well with his money and due to a unique voice managed to make a move into voice acting. I say he likely died with millions of dollars in the bank with another few million in assets.

If you look at Savage's financial situation, he would be getting royalties out of the WWE's DVD's etc featuring him. You then have Spiderman which probably netted Savage 50,000 or so. Voice roles in kids cartoons are very lucrative as well so I'm sure he made a lot from that and then you throw in the merchandising and other secondary payments for those kids movies. 50,000 was likely nothing to him so why do something you hate just for money you don't need?

For me there is nothing sadder than old stars having to angrily do the convention circuit because they blew their money/don't work anymore so I say good for Savage. If he legitimately didn't feel comfortable meeting the fans then I'm happy for him. I'd rather Savage want to be there and be happy meeting the fans compared to him angrily sitting there and just signing things and then be labelled a "dick"
Nothing sad about making 50K in less than 24h. I'm pretty sure even for Savage 50K for less than a day's work is something. Bigger an richer celebs than him have done cons to make easy money.

He would probably like the 50,000 but if he's wealthy and has to travel to do something he really doesn't want to do for the 50,000 then he's probably better off staying home. Maybe he valued living a happy life that has him doing things he likes rather than selling out and doing things he hates for money.

Group shot with Judo suited Osama Bin Laden (he is bottom, second from the left)

At least 2 people have a prime cropping position for an ultra rare valid photo op :yikes:

People say Bush and Blair are responsible for destroying Iraq. Doesn't stop people from getting combos with them.

Yeah but the United States didn't commit acts of terrorism against Iraq. Bush simply fought back.

Of course if you believe 9/11 is a conspiracy then you'd have a different view but Bin Laden was a bad dude in my mind. Would not want a picture with him.

Considering Saddam Hussein never attacked the US in any shape or form (not even one of the 9/11 Hijackers was Iraqi) I don't see how Bush "fought back"

The only reason Bush did not commit acts of terror was because he won. If Saddam Hussein somehow occupied the US and setup a puppet regime, Bush would have been the aggressor/terrorist.
