Even pristine quality, I'd prefer Jerry's photo, but still I'd be perfectly fine with this. The story isn't a bad one, but you can just tell it's filled with shame and trying to justify it. I don't think the need to justify is there, the image is fine and nobody can tell him it doesn't count. "Purists" are free to not count it for their own personal code, who would care what they think though?
If we are going to factor in "shame" let's face it, most of what we do is shameful. Even a simple thing like possessing someone's flight information is a shameful thing.

I also disagree that his first shot is better. Cause this shot is actually valid. The previous shots were not.

Valid by your definition.... You need to stop mistaking your opinion for fact

I do not consider that a "valid" photo op.

Why not? Both are facing the camera, both are looking. If you didn't know the story it looks well posed. It's a non consented pose, which is just as good as an actual pose. Similar to how non consented sex is still sex, albeit illegal. But valid sex nonetheless.

I could tell it was a screenshot as soon as I saw the photo. It looks incredibly unnatural and dumb.

Class, he's entitled to his opinion. I see no problem with screen shots being counted personally, but to each their own.

As I said the quality is bad. But if it were a good quality shot this photo op would be flawless.

I would post the photo in the vein of "Hey look, me and Paul McCartney were in the same room together!" but there's not a chance I'd even try to pass that off as a "valid" photo op.

I'd take the screen cap in an instant, but it's not truly valid if you know the backstory.

If eligible, would that screenshot win photo op of the year?

Possible, depending on the competition. Wouldn't get my vote. Then again, neither did Jeremiah's! Might be street *meet* of the year, but both are not perfect shots.

That's why I say backstory hurts this. There was never any need. As for photo of the year, it'd absolutely be eligible but given quality it'd likely never win

Interesting, I'd probably vote "no" because it doesn't look like a photo op to me but who cares lol

If that guy's happy with it then that's fine. All that matters

We all have different criteria dude, which is great, and I agree with you that if he's happy with it nothing else matters.

Interestingly enough, people use video to capture even agreed poses just to lessen the chance of fucking up and missing the frame. I have done that before too, even when the person says yes, because I know the moment is going to be so fleeting, I would rather have a video to get a screen shot from then miss it as a photo. That happened with James Franco, it was chaotic and he agreed to pose, but I 95% miss that split second if I was snapping it as a photo.

This X a million.

I never got it when people care about whether other people will "count" their pics. If I'm happy with one of my pics, I could give a rat's ass if somebody else had some weird criteria to somehow disqualify it. If I was a McCartney fan who got that guy's pic, I obviously would have preferred a nice posed shot with Paul's arm on my shoulder, but I'd probably be pretty damn happy to get what that guy got.

If you're doing this hobby to impress anybody other than yourself, you're doing it all wrong.
