A little sight seeing in Los Angeles

Post by class316 » March 1st, 2018, 10:58 pm

I was working on my LA report and I decided I'd put sightseeing and celebs separately. Here is the sightseeing portion.

I didn't do too much sightseeing but here's what I did do. Me and one other combo hunter land in LA. We get the rental car which doubles up as our home for the day. First stop I decided to check out Fat Burger. Heard so much about it do wanted to check it out for myself. I previously tried In and Out Burger and it tasted worse than McDonalds.

Fatburger on the other hand tasted good. I was impressed. However, a burger and shake was in the double digits (north of $11). Way too rich for my blood as I can go to a buffet for around that much (didn't order fries as it would have been even more money). I experienced Fatburger once in my life I have no plans to go there again.

While this happened my partner in crime decided to eat at Dennys. I went in Dennys to see him and he was still eating. Someone on a nearby table had left a plate of half eaten pancakes. I waited a few minutes no one ever came back. So I went there, cut some pancakes from the end that wasn't eaten, and mooched some pancakes. After this I had to go back in my car and wait as the meter was running out.

We then went to a dollar store to pick up shaving cream, toothpaste, disposable razors, and other stuff as neither one of us got any luggage in order to cut costs on the airfare. Although that dollar store razor and shaving cream left a rash on me and made me bleed when I used them later that evening.

Next up, I decided to go to the Back to the Future home! Now I knew I could not tread on the property cause I had read online how fed up the owner is of BTTF fans coming to visit.

From the Dailymail and I quote:
Asked about her feelings on the Back to the Future 30th anniversary and her memories of the shoot, she told Daily Mail Online: 'I am really not interested. We get people all the time. It never ends and we have had bad experiences and we do not do anything connected to the film.

'People are not respectful, they get in my neighbor's stuff. They steal stuff from my yard and I am not doing anything more with the film ever again. I am done.'

Asked if she regretted lending her home to the movie, she said: 'Yeah.'

Neighbor and close friend Joan Lewis says she has witnessed Mary's hell over the years and has sympathy for her.

The 72-year-old, originally from Manchester, England, said: 'It is tough for Mary and it really bothers her. She won't talk to anyone ringing or knocking on her door.

BUT as I've learnt from my years combo hunting, no one can legally stop me from taking photo ops from a public sidewalk.

So I go there and start taking photos. While doing so the dog is barking from inside the front door. The neighbor (also pictured in this article) comes out to me and gives me friendly advice that I already knew (ie not to go in the property or knock on the door). I asked her how she knew I was out here apparently the owner of the house informed her. She also gave me a paper with some photos from the BTTF set (which can be found online).

While talking to her the daughter of the owner drove in. She entered the house and immediately pulled down the blinds.

I also went to the street where Marty was skateboarding, which was a few blocks away from the house.

With that I decided to try and get a photo op with the Hollywood sign. After some driving I found a spot and took these shots:

When that was done it was time to go back on track for the most important non-essential activity in life - combo hunting!

Cool stuff but why are you cutting off pieces of pancake? I understand it's free but man, food ain't that expensive.

Easily could have gotten the flu from pancakes that were probably sneezed on. Also likely tetanus from the dollar store razors.

Hollywood sign selfie hilarious but so creepy. Liked the BTTF house though.

You answered your own question. Free is free.

True didn't think of that though it tasted fine and I didn't get sick because of them.

Aren’t you embarrassed that your life has you eating someone else’s pancakes left on a dirty plate? How do you even tell people that let alone do that?

If you saw my new years video address, you would see that my goal is to entertain the people of marked out.

Hence documenting something like that.
