Photobombers: should they be punched?
Re: Photobombers: should they be punched?
We know 2 people mutually in NYC who bomb ppl all the time. When other collectors do it, it's maddening. But you can't get angry with the gen pop.

No. This one is fine as it can be cropped easily.

Re: Photobombers: should they be punched?
eh. I can get mad at anyone for seeking to deliberately taint my hard earned photo op. Whether it's a random 12 year old or if it's a known collector.
Only thing worse than a photobomber is a rat.

Re: Photobombers: should they be punched?
I don't know man, sometimes people just gravitate to looking at a camera, I don't think everyone's intention is deliberate. Maybe people look because they are waiting for their chance for a photo op and looking at your camera for a flash is the best way to see when their turn is.
Re: Photobombers: should they be punched?
I agree there are times it looks like it could be deliberate but isn't. I've done that to some people's ops, and lots have done that to my ops. And when I do that to people's ops I feel bad.crowbar wrote: ↑September 16th, 2018, 3:03 pmI don't know man, sometimes people just gravitate to looking at a camera, I don't think everyone's intention is deliberate. But those are not the instances I'm referring to (and the cases I posted are surely not like that)

yeah why didnt you punch him?
Re: Photobombers: should they be punched?
No, it's never ok to assault someone verbally or otherwise over a hobby. I've gotten angry with people in the past but that's usually just graphers who come up from behind and stick things over your head. That's my ultimate peeve. I've had plenty of people intentionally photobomb in the past. The polite thing to do is to duck or not to look at the camera, but we all know most people aren't polite. You can't take this too seriously. If it's your top want then that's understandable to be upset, but to curse someone out is not ok and security has every right to intervene and remove you.
If you would actually scream at an old lady or a kid over this then I think it's time to take a step back and prioritize your life. This is probably the worst photo bomb I've had, did I scream and curse her out? No. I laughed and moved on.

Let's be honest - he's never punching anybody. It's a lot of talk, and absolutely no action. There's a VERY outside chance he might throw a punch if it was a child, a woman, or an elderly person, but absolutely zero chance he ever punches an able-bodied male under 50, no matter how bad they photobomb him.
Hospital visits, lawyers and bail all cost money, and he'd need all three if he ever started a physical altercation.
Re: Photobombers: should they be punched?
I guess photo ops mean more to some than to others. Look what myself, Greg, Joresky, HeelOrton, and others went through at the Tom Cruise MI6 premiere. About 15h-20h wait, lack of sleep, hurricane level rain, etc. If anyone put in that kind of time and effort for something that doesn't mean so much to them, that says more about them as a person than it does on their outlook on autographs, photo ops, or combos.Btvsp3 wrote: ↑September 17th, 2018, 2:04 pmNo, it's never ok to assault someone verbally or otherwise over a hobby. And when I put this kind of effort and have someone ruin what I'm trying to achieve, I have every right to be furious about it. As you said the polite thing is to duck which is what I always do (or at least try to).
The graphing equivalent for photobombing would be if someone deliberately nudged the item as the celebrity was signing it, thus tainting the auto.
Would I punch someone in the face for photobombing me? For the reasons that AJLe pointed out, no. Do they deserve to be punched in the face? IMO, absolutely yes.
Now I'm waiting for someone to say that in this photo op she just "happened" to be looking in.
