Comic Con and a terrorist foiled plot

Four State Comic Con hit Maryland back towards the start of fall. It was only an hour away and had a few minor wants so CM and I made the trip after I got off work. CM's biggest want would be David Nykl (Anatoly in Arrow). He had repeatedly tried to confirm David was in attendance before driving down for nothing. Luckily another friend was at the show and confirmed David was in fact there thus allowing our trip to commence. The show was small, and admission seemed high based about the crappy venue booked and caliber of its guest list.

Once we arrived David was busy with other customers and my other bigger want (Carla Perez) was not at her table. We walked the vendors for a bit until Carla was back. Carla was the original actress to play Rita Replusa on screen despite the voice coming from infamous pipes of Barbara Goodson. Carla was sweet having conversation about the show and asking me to tag her on social media once I posted our photo.

CM then worked whatever deal with David since he was getting a few autos plus photos for both of us. David and CM seemed to disagree a lot of the direction of Arrow but they talked for at least 10 minutes about various things about the show.

I made the impulse decision to also grab Ann Mahoney to my small Walking Dead collection. Still laugh at Negan's quips over how she can't be starving. Kind lady but was preoccupied with talking to friends that were involved in whatever national tragedy was going on at the time.

Second part of the report was a venture into NYC for my annual attempt at catching up with Megan Boone. Those plans were foiled by the Vegas terrorist as the events she was to appear were all cancelled. I did pick up one long time want and some minor names as a bit of consolation though. First up was Sarah Silverman. She was always someone I wanted a photo with but would never go out of my way for. Well all I did was take a block walk and low and behold she was as kind as I've heard from others.

Then onto my main event with Boone of the picture. Willam Dafoe. I feel like most people want him for Spiderman. I had to have him from the mcu better acting in Boondock Saints. He's just one of those actors I've always felt was underappreicated. William arrived and started doing combos. I secured him on my limited print from BDS then secured my photo despite security trying to get him in. :like:

While waiting for Willem to arrive also scored Patricia Heaton. Obviously not exactly the day I wanted but still nice to grab Dafoe after a previous swing and miss.

Considering how I struck out with BAM on Dafoe this was huge. CM refused to leave a spot where Wahlberg said he wouldn’t be stopping in the way out. Of course he didn’t and I missed Willem at the spot leaving him on my list for an extra couple of years unnessacarily.
