Like some have teared up for Roddy Piper, seeing Frank listed as having passed had teared me up. I met him a few times, he was actually my first non-wrestling meet, and I found him always gracious. He cared about the fan in his presence, always had a kind remark or short conversation and was interested in the item you were having signed.
He was successful in his playing and post playing career (also inducted into the broadcasting wing of the Hall)-but he never gave the impression that he was ever better than the fans or the game itself. He was also gracious with his personal time, responding to autograph requests ttm very rarely ever asking for money unless for charity.
