One of a kind

Postby Kris-UK » August 29th, 2011, 2:40 pm

This will probably make Steve cry, but here is a link to a picture of some items that one of our crew got when entering the Savage Realm.

Has anyone else got ALL of these done, as part of one collection? I open this up as a debate - I just wish I had a set like this, looking back...

Nice! Also, I didn't know there were 2 different packages for The Macho King Figure...
The time has come to sell the collection! Check out my stuff on ebay...

Also, the non King suited back card figure doesn't have the crown or scepter. I didn't know that either.

Seeing as when they came out and Savage was VERY accesible back in the day there must be people out there who have them signed.

As I have said previously, from all accounts Savage was very friendly in hotels back in the day and walked around most times in full gimmick too.

I agree odds are more of these exist.

Now the signed WWE_E of Kris, that is very possibly the only one in existence

Very cool, wish I had Savage stuff signed, he was my favorite of all-time. Have pretty much every figure and shirt made of his (WWF/WCW).

Those are awesome. Thanks for posting the picture. I also wonder if your Encyclopedia is the only one he had ever signed.

How did you meet Savage? I've heard before that you met him but i don't think i've ever heard the story behind it.

Actually, that figure is a Macho Man, but the main difference is no accessories and it says "MACHO MAN" on his purple tights instead of "MACHO KING". Same figure, but it is the Macho Man gimmick.

Good stuff Kris.

Regarding that nWo shirt, who do you have on it? And for other nwo collectors, do you recognise Sting as a member?

I don't regard Sting as a member because I have a black and white shirt. Therefore I only want original nWo members, or those that were in nWo Hollywood (up to the fingerpoke of doom). Sting appeared with the Wolfpack.

If I had done a Wolfpack shirt, the only person I wouldn't have been able to get was Curt Hennig, who was black and red for a few weeks in the summer of 1998. If I had gone for the main/original/iconic members, it would have had Sting, Savage, Hall, Nash, Konnan and Luger on it for sure.

Bret Hart never properly counted (in my opinion either). He seemed to fart around on the fringes and never really played a proper part at any stage until the "nWo 2000" (the one including Jarrett).

That means the project is at the following status:

Those on the shirt:
Hollywood Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Ted DiBiase, The Giant, Vincent, Syxx, Buff Bagwell, Eric Bischoff, Konnan, Dusty Rhodes, V.K.Wallstreet, Randy Savage, Scott Norton, The Disciple, Scott Steiner, Dennis Rodman, Stevie Ray, Mark "Slick" Johnson (he acted as a special ref for Steiner and Bagwell).

Those still possible
nWo Sting, Masahiro Chono, Nick Patrick, Kyle Petty (did appearances to plug the nWo stock car), Horace Hogan

Those who are dead and not obtained prior to death
Miss Elizabeth, Curt Hennig, Rick Rude, Big Bubba Rogers, Brian Adams
